Night Sweats? Morning Sweats? Afternoon Sweats?
Well, during your pregnancy you have much more fluid buildup. This is to help soften your body so it can expand and prepare a home for your new little one. This is called edema. After your baby is born guess what? All that extra has to go somewhere! That's right, it's coming out the best way it knows how; through your armpits, forehead, hands and more. All your hormones that let your body know to hold onto the liquid are now telling them to get out! That’s why you’re so sweaty, and with more sweat comes that stench.
It gets worse! Haha. Are you a breastfeeding mommy? If so, well our bodies are so smart. Our bodies have the ability to help guide our babies to their food supply. In order to do so your body releases a strong scent through your armpit sweat. This is a natural assist that your baby recognizes. This begins right after pregnancy.
Yay for postpartum stank!
